LASH FAQs

What are Lash Extensions made of?
Our Authentic Mink Lash Extensions are made of 100% natural mink fur. These lashes are hand-made from individually selected mink fur hairs that have been harvested from Siberian, Russia.  They are made in single strands of velvet-like lashes that are curved to replicate a natural eyelash.

How long do lashes last?
When applied properly, lash extensions will last through the length of an eyelash’s natural growth cycle, which is between 60–100 days.

How often should I get touch-ups/fills?
Fills are recommended every 2–3 weeks.  If you wait too long your eyelash extensions will fall out and you will require a full set.  Fills replenish any missing lashes that have fallen out.

Are they safe?
Yes! D’Lash only uses pharmaceutical grade adhesives, which are non-toxic and odorless.  Neither the synthetic lash nor the glue ever come into contact with your skin.  The bonding agent is waterproof and allows you to shower, swim, exercise etc.

How do I care for my new Eyelash Extensions?
Eyelash extensions are easy to maintain.  We recommend that you use a small Q-tip to carefully clean around the eye area with a non oil-based cleanser.

How do I prepare for my lash appointment?
Thoroughly clean your lashes with a non-oil based mild cleanser.  Lashes should not be permed, tinted or curled and absolutely no masacara.  The first appointment will start with a lash design consultation and will last approximately 1–1/2 to 2 hours.

Is the product FDA approved? Is it safe?
Currently the FDA is not regulating lash extensions because the they are applied to the natural eyelash hairs and do not touch the skin. The application process is pain-free and relaxing. However, improper application by an unqualified lash technician can cause damage to your natural lashes. We recommend only using D’Lash Certified Specialists for safety and quality.

How long is the lash appointment?
Lash application normally takes anywhere from 45 minutes to 1–1/2 hours.  You will lay comfortably on a massage or facial table with your eyes closed.  An eye gel pad is applied to cover your lower lashes and then the extensions will be carefully and gently applied to each individual eyelash.  Certified D’Lash Specialists ALWAYS keep the integrity of the natural lash life in mind!
